Library Internet Policy!

The Esperance Public Library endeavours to provide Internet Access  to the public for the purpose of research, communication, recreation & education.

The following policy has been compiled to protect all patrons

**Patrons must book in at the front desk before using the computers or other electronic equipment.

**Booked time is forfeited if not signed in within ten minutes of the allotted time.

**Library Staff will assist Patrons when possible but constant tuition and supervision is not available.

**ASK before printing.

**All Esperance Shire Council computers include an Internet Filter. The Library is not responsible for inappropriate use or any consequences that arise from using the Internet within the Library.

**The library is not responsible for any incorrect or out-of-date information accessed via the Internet.

**It is the responsibility of Parents/Guardians to set limits on what their child may access within the Library

**While we respect your right to privacy, Library and Shire staff reserve the right to inspect computers to ensure the safety of other Patrons

**Patrons must not alter the computers.  This includes installing or downloading any software, programs or plug-ins

**Patrons are responsible for any damage or loss to the electronic equipment, software and components while in their      possession

**Patrons must respect the Esperance Shire Internet Policy (Copy available at the Front Desk)

**A “Strike” policy is implemented when the Code of Conduct is breached

Library Staff reserve the right to refuse access to the electronic equipment.
